The Humboldt Lady Cubs volleyball team swept their league foes Eureka and Cherryvale Tuesday night winning 25-15, 20-25, 25-15 over Eureka and 25-10, 25-21 over Cherryvale.
“We finally put everything together on court and played great volleyball last night. Our serves and passing were much better and the girls played with great heart and determination and that is what we need at this point in the season. I could not be happier for them right now.” said Humboldt volleyball coach Terry Meadows.
In the win over Eureka Aricah McCall recorded 4 aces, 13 kills and 11 defensive digs. Morgan Mauk had 2 aces and 9 digs. Alayna Johnson had 32 assists and 7 defensive digs. Madison Gean and Emma Johnson contributed with 12 and 11 digs respectively.
In the match against Cherryvale Kaylie Johnson recorded 2 aces and 5 defensive digs, Kaylie Johnson added 9 kills and 5 defensive digs, Aricah McCall had 8 kills, and Emma Johnson had 8 defensive digs.
Eureka picked up a win over Cherryvale 25-15, 25-15 in the other game of the night.
