. What are your individual and team goals this year?

Individually, I need to step into more of a leadership role. I didn’t really have to be much of a leader last year because our senior leadership was very strong. I’ve also always struggled with being aggressive and I need to continue to develop more of an aggressive mindset. As for team goals I think a repeat as SEK league champions is definitely on the top of the list, and I think every teams goal is to win a state championship.

2. Was there much of an adjustment for you last year when you played SEK ball after two years at Tyro Christian? If so, what were the biggest adjustments?

There was definitely an adjustment switching from a 1A school to a 4A school in regards to competition, and being new to a program took time to adjust. It’s hard to find the chemistry with your teammates when you’re the new guy, but after a certain point in the season you’re no longer new and everyone begins to click together.

3. Do you have a routine that you go thru on game days to get yourself pumped up for the games?

I’ve always wanted to incorporate a special routine like collegiate and professional players have, but I’ve never found one that has helped me play better. Getting mentally focused and fighting the pre-game jitters are basically the two main things I worry about before games.

4. What are the most memorable moments that you have had playing basketball?

There are several memorable moments over the past few years, several of my memorable moments are: becoming the first league champions in a number of years, scoring a buzzer beater to slip by Osage City, and being named 1st team all-SEK.

5. What are your interests away from playing basketball?

I’m just an average high school kid I like to be with my family, play video games, hangout with friends, and listen to music.

6. What are your plans for next year after you graduate this spring?

I would like to continue my basketball career at the next level and pursue a degree in pre-dentistry.
